Entry Requirements:

 

• Must possess the experience and educational background suitable for the position.
• Previous experience working with children a must, preferably in a licensed Childcare Center.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Individual must possess the ability to work independently. Attention to detail and customer service skills a must.
• On-site attendance is required of this position.
• Must develop and maintain a commitment to the mission of the YMCA, along with possessing sound judgment, maturity, and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

   Responsibilities:

• Will be directly responsible for the care, supervision and well being of all children enrolled in the center.
• Responsible for Lesson Planning
• Will monitor classroom area to ensure the safety and well being of all participants.
• Provides a positive environment for all participants. to ensure growth and development.
• Ensures facility is neat, clean, orderly and free of all safety impediments.
• Exemplifies and maintains appropriate behavior at all times for participants. Actively listens to all children, showing patience, understanding and respect for others.
• Develops and fosters interpersonal relationships and actively creates an environment of cooperation and friendliness toward others.
• Records daily attendance and maintains accurate and complete records.
• Ensures all supplies are well maintained and readily available.
