Position Description
 Asset Protection District Manager

Gordmans, a growing big box retailer currently operating 66 stores in 16 states, is seeking an Asset Protection District Manager based in Denver, CO.

The Asset Protection District Manager is responsible for implementing and reinforcing Asset Protection policies and procedures within an assigned geographical area (market) of the company in order to reduce company-wide inventory shortage. Qualified candidates will demonstrate the ability to maintain a safe and secure shopping environment for both guests and associates, as well as to protect company assets from theft and/or damage.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and developing a staff of Asset Protection Agents.
  • Investigating internal criminal acts following a clear and concise strategy.
  • Educating store associates on the Company’s asset protection and security programs.
  • Working closely with the store management teams to determine store specific security and theft prevention needs.

Requirements:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Four year college degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years retail related asset protection experience or law enforcement experience required.
  • Knowledge of physical security issues.
  • Formal interview training (Wicklander or Reid) preferred.
  • Certified Protection Officer certification is required.
  • Strong computer skills including exception reporting, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and exception reporting tools (Navistor, XBR, Aspect, etc.)
  • Ability to work within a team framework to support asset protection goals.
  • Requires approximately 20% overnight travel and ability to maneuver around sales floors, stock rooms and offices with periods of time at a desk on a computer.
