GENERAL SUMMARY:
Consults with fisheries and wildlife-related businesses to promote their services through Cabela's Trophy Properties, L.L.C. Sells and manages exclusive marketing territories. Responsible for developing and growing the Recreational Leasing services layer of Cabela's Trophy Properties.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Consults with the owners/managers of fisheries and wildlife businesses to promote and/or award exclusive marketing territories, including reviewing applications and conducting interviews at Cabela's world headquarters. Affiliated businesses will specialize in short and/or long-term development and management of recreational resources, including fish and wildlife management, habitat development, lake management, aquatic weed control, and other recreational services.
- Works with all channels of Cabela's to market the fisheries and wildlife services layer to Cabela's customers, recreational brokers, landowners, sportsmen, and property managers worldwide. Channels include Internet, catalog, retail, marketing, television, and brand management.
- Provides follow-up communication to ensure Participant and Subscriber satisfaction and adherence to rules and regulations.
Assists in Cabela's Trophy Properties Manager in recognizing future market opportunities for Cabela's related to fisheries and wildlife services, including additional service layers and/or possible development of retail product lines. - Coordinates and hosts annual and semi-annual meetings and conferences for Participants in conjunction with entire Trophy Properties staff.
- Periodically visits Participants and prospects at their locations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
- Broad knowledge of recreational leasing services, practices, and principals.
- Knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures.
- Skill in operating assorted office equipment such as: copy machine, computer terminal, facsimile machine, and telephone system.
- Proficient in the use of the internet.
- Ability to handle difficult situations and be able to negotiate positive resolve.
- Ability to communicate with various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to effectively function as a team player.
- Bachelors degree in fisheries and/or wildlife management or related field plus two to three years related experience.
