Position Description
Requirements and Qualifications:
· Previous electrical maintenance required and must perform all the duties of a maintenance electrician.
· Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
· Must have a journeyman license and be able to maintain a plant master electrician’s license.
· Must have training in and have a good knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
· Must have training with PLC's, computers, and electronic and solid state equipment.
· Must have good electrical maintenance troubleshooting skills.
· Must be able to operate a variety of power tools, pipe threader, conduit benders, forklift, welder, plasma cutter, and acetylene cutting torch.
· Must have adequate knowledge in the use of electrical testing equipment such as computers, oscilloscopes, and all types of electrical programming and testing equipment.
· Must be knowledgeable and skilled in motor controls, variable AC drives, and PLC’s.
· Must perform tasks assigned by supervisor based on talent and different projects.
· Must be able to run conduit and size wiring and control components.
· Must be able to read and interpret complex electrical schematics & ladder logic prints.
· Must be skilled with computers and PLC programming software.
· Must be skilled in diagnosing and correcting problems with production equipment.
· Required to communicate and coordinate with electrical contractors and the City Inspector.
· Must be a self-starter.
NOTE: Will be required to work at both plants as needed.
May be required to complete some training courses on their own time.
Will be required to perform general maintenance duties as required.
