The Superior Court of California, County of Imperial is seeking a Court Facilities Coordinator. Under general supervision,
· Manages and coordinates projects, communications and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations.
· Coordinates grounds maintenance activities. Ensures planting, cultivation, pruning, fertilization and irrigation are installed and function correctly.
· Coordinates activities to ensure Court facilities are cleaned and maintained in a safe and orderly condition. Organizes and directs the cleaning of offices, conference rooms, restrooms, hallways, break rooms and other facilities.
· Coordinates the maintenance of plumbing fixtures and lines and repairs or replaces lines, urinals, sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, hose bibs, drinking fountains, and hot water heaters as necessary.
· Performs electrical repairs or coordinates the repair of electrical equipment such as checking and changing fuses, light fixtures, light bulbs, breakers, light switches, or ballasts. Performs routine preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
· Establishes and maintains time lines for custodial, grounds maintenance and general maintenance projects and activities.
· Prepares and maintains records and reports related to projects, contractors, staff and assigned activities.
· Assists with minor facilities maintenance duties such as equipment inventory, moves, and assembly of office furniture.
· Operates machinery and tools including grounds equipment, vacuums, brooms, mops, and hand and power tools such as hammers, saws, drills, or presses. Drives a vehicle to and from various Court locations to conduct work.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of:
· Facility design options and the impact of facilities on court operations.
· Injury and Illness Prevention Plans.
· Knowledge of building codes, ordinances, requirements, regulations, health and safety precautions and other related laws, codes, rules, regulations, policies or procedures including the Americans with Disability Act requirements regarding construction and use of facilities.
· Organization and direction of custodial, grounds maintenance and general maintenance activities.
· Correct English usage, including spelling, grammar and punctuation.
· Requirements of maintaining buildings, facilities, grounds and equipment.
Education and experience:
BS degree in architecture or engineering or an AA degree and at least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of facilities management, capital project management, and/or public property services managing including the coordination and maintenance of custodial, grounds or other general/facilities related maintenance.
Physical Demands:
Use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands or arms. Stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, push, pull, talk, or hear; and occasionally to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally over 100 pounds.
Licenses and other requirements:
Valid California driver’s license.
