Determines eligibility and priority group. Finalizes and approves Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE). Approves IPE amendment, IPE annual review and employment outcome. Records basis for eligibility, priority group, IPE and employment outcome determinations and approvals. Provides individualized planning and Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE) development. Records basis for extension of time to determine eligibility. Records trial work experience periodic assessment plan. Records basis for termination of vocational rehabilitation services for reasons other than ineligibility. Administers tests. Analyzes and synthesizes client medical, demographic and employment information. Analyzes client strengths and barriers. Conducts the initial interview. Develops and manages partnerships with employers, referral sources and schools. Makes appropriate referrals to community resources. Participates in client staffing. Participates in Vocational Rehabilitation and Nebraska Department of Education committees, work groups. Plans and provides assessment and direct service activities for each client. Provides career counseling, client orientation, personal adjustment counseling, and rehabilitation engineering services. Provides short-term job coaching, skill training using standard curriculum and materials and tax credit information. Provides technical assistance to employers. Provides technology use training. Provides transition services to students. Records outcomes of completed direct team services. Responds to basic questions about Vocational Rehabilitation. Possesses a valid driver's license, travels independently and works in a variety of settings. Uses the electronic case service data system and task forces monitoring and employment follow-up.
REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree with emphasis in one of the following areas: Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling, Counseling and Guidance, Vocational Evaluation or other related counseling programs. Preferred: Experience interacting with persons with significant disabilities. Bilingual in English/Spanish.
